So for the halloween dance everyone is wearing their slutty little costumes that they ordered online from some lingerie store. i don’t want to be the one retarded person who wore normal clothes. but i also am short on time and money. i have a week, goodwill and 10 bucks to work with. and a few tutus. i need my costume to be kinda sexy but not completely obvious (like im not wearing a corset and bunny ears and being a bunny rabbit.) it cant be lame. but i want it to be creative if possible. i was considering a fairy because it’s easy and i could wear a short dress but wouldnt it be awkward grinding with a stupid pair of wings on my back?
i think i had a dream with me and my 2 brothers. i think my little brother was a girl in it and had bunny ears on and cried cause my elder brother did something. i was in the living room and i went behind 2 couches though it would be easier just to go left to the bathroom and get him but while i was walking there were dominoes in order, not falling, under but close to the edges under the couches. then my little brother (or sister in dream) was banging on the door when i got there and i got an idea. i went back to the living room and got the wizard cloak and hat from the floor and my brother walked there. i teased him and he found another wizard costume and put it on but it was kind of different cause it had the string under it so it could stick on and wouldn’t fall off. he got on a broom and laughed and flew away. when i woke up in the middle i was them cause they were too loud and i could hear them to my room, but the dominoes, don’t even think i thought of them that day.
My GF and I are going to a role reversal (boys dress and girls & girls as boys) where there will be significant prize money awarded for the first, second and third place winners. Since we could certainly use the money I have reluctantly gone along with the costumes we are wearing, she will be a playboy and I will be a playboy bunny. As a bunny I will be wearing a very high cut legged black leotard which is very narrow in front, a long blond wig, fishnet stockings, a pair of 3 inch heels and full makeup which my GF will apply. I wanted to add shorts to the costume and even panty hose to cover up a bit but based on input here in Answers it seemed most people thought I needed to be as close to a real playboy bunny as possible if we are going to win anything so I agreed to dress as my GF said she would if she were the bunny. In fact I even subjected myself to a visit to her friends salon where I was given a full waxing.
What I did not realize was that when we go to the party all contestants have to participate in a parade that will run for several blocks and which the bar that sponsors the party has been doing for several years. (We are new to this area and my GF and her friends arranged to get the tickets for the party.) The parade is bad enough but it the reason for the parade is to get all participants to park in a parking lot which is at the beginningn of the parade route since there is very limited parking around the bar. It suddenly occured to me that I will at the end of the party have to walk back to the car wearing only my costume since we have no way of carrying any other clothing since the judging takes place during the parade.
I have told my GF I don’t want to do this but she says we paid for the tickets, we have the costumes and it is Halloween. Do you think she is pushing me too far or should I agree to do whatever I need to to have a chance to win?

I’m a freshman at a university where Halloween is nationally known to be a huge deal. But it’s cold, and I don’t want to walk around as a "sexy bunny" or a "sexy saloon girl" or something trashy like that. Last year I hand sewed an amazing Napoleon Bonaparte costume, but I obviously don’t have quite that much time this year. Ideally, I’d continue with a totally ridiculous historical theme. I’d love to be a really accurate Athena or William Shakespeare. I could be Pam from The Office, because I’ve been told I look a lot like her, but that’s boring. Maybe Rosie the Riveter? That would be easy, but recognizable. Or perhaps The Girl With a Pearl Earring? I want people to recognize who I am, but I will by no means be a Sexy Nun or Sexy Nurse.
We pulled out a box of costumes (doctor, bunny, hippie, etc.) and she FREAKED OUT. She won’t stop crying until it’s completely out of sight and out of mind. Help!
